2019 New Cub Scout Informational Meeting
Thursday, September 12th, 2019 6:30pm-7:30pm Memorial School Cafeteria 125 Winn Street, Burlington, MA Join us on Thursday, September 12th to learn about scouting
with our pack. We will present information
about our pack and have fun activities and games for the kids. Scout leaders
will be available to answer any additional questions you may have related to
scouting in our community. Our pack focuses on fun, learning new skills, developing friendships, and cultivating leadership. We accomplish this by way of the scout curriculum, fun scouting activities, and community service which include:

Burlington Cub Scout Expo
Pack 555 will be joining the other Burlington scouting groups in the 13th Annual Scouting Expo on Sunday May 19th, 2019 from 9-11:30AM at Simonds Park. Scouting age boys and girls (Grades 1-12) are invited to come and check out the scouting programs in Burlington. Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturing Crew Members will demonstrate the spirit of teamwork, camaraderie, respect and responsibility that scouting is about. Join with the scouts in the Life-size Minecraft, Trebuchet Catapult Tosses, and build and launch your own Water Rocket and many other games and challenges. Leadership from all the towns scouting units will be on hand to answer any questions about the Scouting Programs in Burlington and accept new registrations. Pinewood Derby Rules and Guidance
This year the Flintlock district of the Spirit of Adventure Council has made significant changes to the pinewood derby rules regarding building a car and the process during which it is inspected. This was done to ease the burden on parents making a race ready car and address district champion cars that didn't pass inspection at the national pinewood derby championship in New York last year. Attached are the official rules we will be following this year. |
Kindergarten Cub Scout Informational Meeting
Thursday October 25th 6:30pm-7:30pm Memorial School Cafeteria 125 Winn Street Bring your Kindergarten aged son to an informational Halloween themed meeting this Thursday to learn about scouting with our pack. We will have festive activities planned for your child and Scout leaders will be available to answer any questions you may have related to scouting in our community. Pack 555 Cub Scout Informational Meeting and Sign-Up
Come and learn what Cub Scouts is all about. Stop by with your child between 6:30 pm-7:30 pm on Thursday, September 13th, 2018 at the Memorial School cafeteria. We will have fun activities for the kids and provide information for the parents. We have many fun things planned this year:

Museum of Science Overnight
January 20th we will spend the night at the Museum of Science! The Overnight Program allows Cub Scouts and their adult chaperones to discover science in an entertaining, educational, and interactive way through hands-on science activities, a Theater of Electricity Lightning! show, science demonstrations, an Omni film, time to explore the Museum, and much more. Pie Collection for Thanksgiving
On November 18th, Scouts will arrive at Shaw's in Burlington to collect pies for the Burlington Food Pantry. The Food Pantry needs pies in order to complete the Thanksgiving meal they provide to hundreds of Burlington Families in need. This event is also organized by our Charter Organization, the United Church of Christ, Congregational. We will ask people to purchase a pie (starting at $5.00) and donate it to us so that we can deliver it to the Food Pantry. Hope to see you there! ![]() |
