Pinewood Derby Rules and Guidance

posted Jan 24, 2019, 8:52 AM by Burlington Pack 555   [ updated Jan 24, 2019, 8:55 AM ]

This year the Flintlock district of the Spirit of Adventure Council has made significant changes to the pinewood derby rules regarding building a car and the process during which it is inspected.  This was done to ease the burden on parents making a race ready car and address district champion cars that didn't pass inspection at the national pinewood derby championship in New York last year.

Attached are the official rules we will be following this year.

Pie Collection for Thanksgiving

posted Nov 2, 2017, 6:24 AM by Burlington Pack 555

On November 18th, Scouts will arrive at Shaw's in Burlington to collect pies for the Burlington Food Pantry. The Food Pantry needs pies in order to complete the Thanksgiving meal they provide to hundreds of Burlington Families in need. This event is also organized by our Charter Organization, the United Church of Christ, Congregational. We will ask people to purchase a pie (starting at $5.00) and donate it to us so that we can deliver it to the Food Pantry. Hope to see you there!
