Scouting For Food

Starting October, 2014 Pack 555 will canvas our Burlington neighborhoods to help eliminate hunger this season. Scouts will drop off food donation bags in their neighborhoods on Saturday, November 7th 2015

On the morning of Saturday, November 14th 2015, scouts will collect the bags of food donations door to door. After collecting the food, Scouts should bring the donated food to the Burlington Food Pantry at 9 AM where they will sort and organize the food from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM.

A Scout is Helpful

If you receive a Scouting for Food Grocery bag, that’s your invitation to help! You can earn your helpful badge and contribute the effort by leaving a bag full of groceries on the door step before 7AM on Saturday, November 14th 2015. If your home is not canvassed we still need your help, bring a bag of groceries to one of the local drop off points later that day.

Be Prepared

Pack 555 has set a goal to gather items of food for the Burlington Food Pantry. These items will help provide food for the holidays and throughout the winter.

Do your Best!

As our Scouts look to achieve their goal they will deliver the items to various drop off locations and help manage the food with the local food pantries and Burlington Food Pantry volunteers. They will collect the data and submit their amounts collected and hours served through this web portal. (Good Turn for America) The information will be reported back to the community through our media partners!
